Welcome to the official website of the Orchids. Established in 2015 as a service organization comprised of over 40 powerful and professional women with diverse backgrounds. For three years, we have flourished by embracing the unique strengths of each member to advance our mission in the areas of education, civic and cultural advancements in the communities of Newton, Henry, Rockdale and in DeKalb County. We have also made educational and cultural advancements in Jamaica and in Africa.
The Orchids are very engaged in the communities we serve, and we are very proud of the support that has been provided to our community in the form of outreach programs, sponsorships and forums. We are especially excited about the success of our Signature Mentoring Program for young girls in grades sixth through eighth. This program is called the Keiki Klub. Keiki means a young orchid. The Keiki Klub was initiated in 2016 at Social Circle Middle School in Walton County where we serve 22 girls and in 2018 it has been expanded to Cousins Middle School in Newton County serving almost 30 young girls.
